Durham region has a rich tradition of celebrating Canada Day. Over the years, these celebrations have grown from modest community gatherings to large scale events that attract thousands. These celebrations symbolize the joy and pride we share as Canadians.

Whether you’re local or planning a visit, here are some key locations where you can enjoy Durham Region Canada day events 2024.

Canada Day in Pickering 2024

Daytime Program

• When: Monday, July 1, 2024
• Time: 12:00PM – 5:00PM.
• Where: One the Esplanade, Pickering

This is a free event with an afternoon of fun for the entire family, featuring activities, food vendors, live entertainment, games, and more!

Evening Program

• When: Monday, July 1^st 2024 from
• Time: 7:00PM – 10:00PM
• Where: Kinsmen Park, 705 Sandy Beach Rd, Pickering

Free admission featuring live music, food vendors, live entertainment, and a firework finale!

Canada Day in Ajax 2024

• When: Monday July 1, 2024
• Time:  2:00PM – 10:00PM
• Where: Ajax Downs, 50 Alexander’s Crossing, Ajax

Come enjoy a variety of activities featuring games, live entertainment, food vendors and a fireworks finale at 10:00PM!

Canada Day in Whitby 2024

• When: Monday, July 1, 2024
• Time: 5:30PM – 10:30PM
• Where: Victoria Fields, 345 Watson St., Whitby

Come experience interactive activities, games, musical performances, and various vendors. Fireworks begin at 10:00PM.

Canada Day In Oshawa 2024

• When: Monday, July 1, 2024
• Time: 2:00PM – 10:00PM
• Where: Lakeview Park, 55 Lakeview Park Avenue, Oshawa

The City of Oshawa’s Canada Day celebration is free and features local entertainment, food vendors, activities and displays and a special firework finale over Lake Ontario.

Canada Day in Clarington 2024

• When: Monday, July 1, 2024
• Time: 5:00PM
• Where: Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex, 2440 Highway 2 in Bowmanville.

Enjoy a day of live entertainment, games, face painting, food vendors, prizes and giveaways and a special firework finale at 10:00PM!
