Oshawa Location

The City of Oshawa borders Whitby to the west. It borders the Township of Scugog to the north, and the Municipality of Clarington to the east.  Oshawa is situated about one hour away from downtown Toronto.

Oshawa Transportation

Durham Region Transit and GO Transit service the city. The city has one GO train stop, which provides a quick and easy commute into downtown Toronto. Oshawa is accessible by both the 401 and the 407 ETR. 

Oshawa Attractions

Oshawa is home to the Tribute Communities Centre, where the OHL team, the Oshawa Generals play. The arena sits in downtown Oshawa. It positions itself as a central location within the city. In addition to hockey, the Community Centre hosts various events. These include concerts, conferences, and other entertainment performances. 

Oshawa Outdoors

Oshawa has many parks and trails to discover. They provide excellent opportunities to run, walk, rollerblade, or enjoy fresh air. Some parks include the Waterfront Trail, McLaughlin Bay Wildlife Reserve, Harmony Creek Trail, Oshawa Creek Trail, and Michael Starr Trail.   

Oshawa Education

The city is also home to the main campuses of Ontario Tech University and Durham College. Post-secondary education in the area includes York University, Ryerson University, University of Toronto, and Centennial College. 

Oshawa Real Estate

Oshawa has many housing types, including detached houses, townhouses, and condominiums. The city has many major economic development plans. The RIOCAN Windfields development in North Oshawa is a mixed-use development with over 800,000 sq. ft. of retail space and over 800 residential units.
